This is actually a side effect of part of the factory tuning that calls for an excessive amount of fuel to dumped in anticipation for redline.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis fuel dump is intended to maintain catalytic converts temps stay within range, but is known to be very overly excessive, causing about a 25-35hp loss from 5-6000rpm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBecause adjusting this fuel dump to a lighter level requires a aftermarket tune and an unlocked pcm, we wanted to see if there was any bolt on parts that could help mitigate this overly rich fuel mixture and bring back that lost power.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe were pleasantly surprised to see the extra airflow from the S\u0026amp;B intake was such an improvement over stock, that the power increased roughly 10-25hp throughout the curve! The majority of the improvements are seen at the top of the Rpm’s and directly combat the factory power loss from the aggressive fuel enrichment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNext step we will be adding our favorite slip on lower pully to see what full bolt ons are capable of!
