Ride Shocks Bronco 2.5 Inch Coilover Package for 2021+ Bronco
The Ride 2.5” Coilover system is the result of a 4 year project with the mission of creating the end all be all Bronco suspension system. They begun by intensely studying the existing shock options construction and design to better understand the limitations and issues customers encountered. This was crucial when it came to choosing which adjusters, seals, shock oil, and piston design were to be used. Every aspect of the Ride shocks have been meticulously tuned for the perfect blend of optimal performance, tunability, and extreme durability. Ride engineers brutally tested 3 different adjuster designs, 4 different bump stops, 12 different piston shapes, dozens of different valving configurations, and countless hose/fitting sizes on thousands of miles of Baja desert and Sierra mountains trails. This level of testing is what’s required to ensure the final design would drastically out perform and outlast every option available.
Ride shocks are one of the first to offer individualized spring rates and valving profiles based on the way that your bronco is built out. Select between two different weight ranges in order to achieve the optimal ride quality on the street and trail. (see our detailed description of the weight ranges and the in-depth overview below)

AccuTune Tubular UCA Kit
Why do I need Accutune Ucas?
Although not required, we highly recommend upgrading your upper control arms to maintain proper handling characteristics and ensure proper ball joint angle at full droop.
The OEM control arms are designed for the stock, ride height and travel numbers. After lifting your bronco, the caster and camber alignment angles are altered from factory specs, consequently resulting in subpar handling characteristics that can make your bronco wander on the highway or even feel squirmy on uneven surfaces. Permanent alignment can be achieved with optional slot delete kit to further enhance your trail endurance and eliminate costly maintenance expenses.
Construction
AccuTune Offroad Upper Control arms feature beefy 1.25” DOM high strength tubular steel design complimented by a high quality gloss black powder coat finish. HD sealed and greasable all metal ball joints are positioned at the proper angle to match extended travel numbers and have extended life over oem components. Unlike a race style uniball that can creak squeak or pop, these greasable sealed ball joints remain quiet during steering or under heavy articulation.
Ride Shocks use adjustable heavy duty FK Heim rod ends that are sealed with special O-rings to prevent dirt and debris from causing premature wear and noise. In our decades of installing aftermarket ucas, this is a first! These ucas are assembled on a precise jig to ensure all joints come pre-set and ready to install. One other benifit of a heim joint is they drastically eliminate the play and slop felt from rubber bushings. These are Made in the USA and optimized to work with Ride shocks larger hose to ensure no damage to the reservoir line at full droop.
-1.25 x .120 wall DOM tubing
-Powder coat finish
-Sealed 3/4″ FK Heim Joints
-Sealed high quality all metal ball joint
-Aluminum ball joint cap included
-Made in the USA
-Does not fit Bronco Raptor models
-Sold in pairs
The Hammer Built Bronco Ride Shocks In Depth Overview
Who is Ride Shocks?
To get the best understanding of this suspension package, we first look at who are the creators of Ride Shocks? Accutune is an off-road suspension company specializing in custom valving and spring tuning for high performance off-road shocks. After years of modifying king/fox/icon suspension, they discovered the quality limitations of a high volume production shock and how performance and comfort can suffer greatly from a one size fits all tuning and spring rate.
Unlike most shock manufacturers, Accutune was born with the core belief that because everyone uses their vehicles drastically differently, everyone’s suspension should be designed differently as well. Accutune is famous for helping others custom tune their aftermarket shocks spring rates, compression/rebound valving, nitrogen pressures, oil weights, etc., all with the purpose of enhancing the ride quality to better match the users specific load out and driving style. If their years of shock tuning taught them anything, it’s how things like tire diameter, front/rear weight bias, experience level, and terrain topography drastically affect the way a performance shock functions. If you’re operating outside of the intended design parameters you’re leaving loads of trail fun and street comfort on the table or even worse, you can permanently damage your vehicle.
How Does Ride Shocks Offer an Industry First 3 year 50,000 Mile Warranty?
Extended Life Shock Oil and Seals
Ride engineers found that when combining high quality full synthetic oil with a very specific seal material and shape, they could significantly increase temperature ranges and extend service intervals. This combination provides minimal shock fade for high speed adrenaline filled sections and enough cooling capacity for long distance excursions. Leveraging years of shock rebuilds and customer damage reports ensured every aspect of these shocks has been engineered to survive years of hard use. This is why Ride Shocks has the confidence to back each shock with an industry first 3 year/50,000 mile warranty.
Proprietary Piston Design + OverSized Hose
12 different piston designs were tested on countless miles of trails and streets to ensure the optimal flow and tunability. Why so many revisions? Adjusting the port sizes and contours changes the way the shock performs over different types of terrain. Perfecting the piston flow characteristics on rebound and compression stroke allows the shocks to flow optimally, dramatically reducing hydrolock that leads to rough ride on choppy roads and washboard trails. This high flow piston design requires an equally high flowing larger diameter reservoir hose. In order to optimize the flow inside the shock for superior ride quality, many different sizes were tested to best match the flow characteristics of the piston. This relentless pursuit of creating the best bronco shocks resulted in one of the largest reservoir hoses found on aftermarket bronco suspension, a true testament to how well the shock is flowing!
Dual Speed Adjustability
144 Ride Quality Settings
Since the main goal of this shock project was to achieve optimal ride quality through a variety of different weight levels, terrain types, and driving styles; adjustability was the Ride engineers primary focus. Years of custom shock tuning has demonstrated how each user has their own idea of how they want there suspension to feel on the street and trail. Many different styles of adjusters were tested before perfecting the industries only dual speed linear high and low speed adjusters. 12 low speed and 12 high speed settings gives you an incredibly wide range of control over shock flow which translates into having the MOST flexibility of how your Broncos suspension behaves.
What is Low Speed Compression? Low Speed Compression on a shock refers to the speed at which the shaft compresses into the shock body. A smoother, more gradual shock movement. Low speed compression occurs when a vehicle is cornering, braking/accelerating and driving over large rolling bumps.
When would I need to adjust Low Speed Compression? If you find the vehicle is having too much brake dive, feeling too bouncy or bottoming out on big rolling bumps, you should increase the Low Speed Compression on your DPA. Low speed adjustments on the reservoir are less noticeable than high speed adjustments.
What is High Speed Compression? High Speed Compression happens when the shock compresses very quickly. High speed compression occurs when hitting things like curbs, speed bumps, larger rocks, or washboard roads at higher speeds (although this is not exclusive to driving speeds). Even at 75 mph approaching a gradual hill is low speed compression, but if you hit a speed bump at just 15 mph, your shock must react very quickly. This is high speed compression.
When would I need to adjust High Speed Compression? If the suspension and tires are slamming through and bottoming out on hard hits you need to increase high speed compression. You should also increase it when adding weight to the vehicle or doing more aggressive offroad driving. High speed compression adjustments are more noticeable and can be the most useful adjustment on the shock.
